5th Generation Picture!

Lately, Gene's Mom's health has been going downhill rather quickly. She is 85 years old now and slowing down a lot. Not that she doesn't deserve a rest, she has been the hardest working woman I have ever known! After all, she raised 8 children mostly on her own because her husband's health was not good. She worked from 3:00am to 4:00pm in the Rocky Mountain bakery and then came home to her big family and had to do everything there. She has told me how weekends were so hard for her-hand-washing all the kids' clothes, not to mention all the upkeep of the house on her own! This woman is such an inspiration to me! She has taught me that I can do anything I put my mind to! She's truly amazing! But sadly, lately it seems like she won't be around much longer. We have been trying to get down to have a picture taken of Grandma, Gene, Corey, Brittney and her little girl, Taycee. So, yesterday we were able to have that picture taken! We are so happy to have it and it is amazing to look at all the generations sitting there together! It might be a bit blurry, but I love that we have it and will cherish it always! Thank you Becky, for taking it!

Thriller!!!

So a couple of weeks ago, my good friend Tyra told me she was taking me to "Thriller" at Tuacahn for my Birthday. I had heard about it and had always wanted to go, but never had. Last night was the big night and I could hardly contain myself the whole day! So after dinner in St.George, we drove out to Tuacahn! Okay, why did I not see this years ago? As soon as we got there, I spotted a Zombie and just had to have a picture with her!

Of course, if you know me at all you know that I love dance and spooky stuff, so this show was right up my alley! I loved it! It was a great show, the dancing was phenomenal! It was not only scary, but hilarious as well. One of my personal favorites was the lady that played "Lorena Bobbit"! She sang songs like "Dude Looks Like a Lady" and it was so dang funny! Of course, Jason, Frankenstein and his Bride and Chucky were there too!All throughout the theater these awesome looking zombies would be dragging themselves around-it was great!

Here are my friends Matt, Tyra, Ariel and Kendrick! Aren't they so cute?!
Okay, this guy was freaking people out all over the place! First he climbed over the girl in front of us and then he climbed over me! Of course, I had to snap a picture! EEEEW!!!!

These are more of the dancers that were just roaming around the theater during the show! Don't they look great?

Hey Tyra, thank you so much for my present! I had such a great time! I plan on taking Lani back next year!

Our Visit to the Paragonah Pumpkin Patch!

Yesterday, after Lani's Dental appointment we wound up going to Paragonah to find pumpkins at a Pumpkin Patch. It was way fun and my girls had a blast! I think the best part was just walking through all the pumpkin vines and enjoying all the different shapes and sizes!

"All She Wants For Christmas Is Her Two Front Teeth!"

Okay, so about two weeks ago, Lani comes home from school
all excited to show me her
"new tooth". I'm thinking, "New
tooth? What?! She hasn't even
lost any yet!" I discover that she
has a tooth coming in way
behind where it should and it is completely missing her front baby tooth so that it can't
even push that one out!
I was kind of freaked out-
I'd never seen anything like it
before!
I called my friend
Lisa who is a Dental assistant. She assured me that my kid was not a "freak" and that this was fairly normal. She asked the Dentist and he said we could wait for
two weeks, if it didn't come out on it's
own, we could have it extracted. Well, it loosened but it didn't come out on it's own needless to say, and she had another one right next to it that
was very loose and ready to come out. So, we made the appointment for her to see the Dentist for the first time. Lani had been a little worried about her first trip ever to the dentist, but her fears were gone as soon as Lisa took us back. Lisa was wonderful to show her everything that they would be using on her and what each instrument's purpose was. It wasn't even 30 minutes before the Dentist had pulled both front teeth! I can't believe my baby has two missing teeth!

My beautiful friend Lisa prepping Lani's mouth for the extraction.

Lani is so into the movie on the screen above her, she doesn't even notice what's going on.
Okay, so it's only the bottom ones, but they're still in the front! Lani was so relieved! She now has no more fears of the Dentist! Thank you Lisa and Dr. Brown! You guys are awesome!

Bishop Hansen Does It Again!

Okay, so for the past week or so, we have been checking out the deer around here. Even though we didn't even put in for the hunt, there's something about me, I just love to be out there on opening morning! Corey had a tag to hunt, so that was my excuse to be out in the hills-" to find a deer for Corey to shoot!" So, we realized that the deer were starting to come down around the little town called "Summit". We had seen a few decent sized bucks and told Corey about them. He decided to come up this morning-the opening day of the hunt. He, Joe and Gene left the house at about 6:45am and I got a call at about 7:30am from Corey to tell me that he shot the three point that we had spotted for him! He always gets his deer so quick! Kiara, Lani and I hopped into the car and headed for Summit to take some pictures-they were so excited! Normally, I wouldn't say anything about this, but today is my birthday, and it was really a perfect birthday-because I love the deer hunt so much. Thanks, Corey for making my day so much fun! Oh, and way to go, you did it again!

Let It Snow!

So last evening, it started to snow and actually stick! I decided to let Kiara go out in her coat and boots to check it out since she doesn't really remember playing in the snow last year. I can't believe we actually got snow this early in October-last year it seems like it was more like the middle of the month before we got a snow storm! We woke up this morning to about 3 inches and it looked so pretty! I don't know what I was thinking-I didn't even take a picture of that. Here are a couple of Kiara enjoying it though! We were so excited-I think we are the only family in all of Cedar City that actually gets excited when it starts to snow! ha ha!

What? A Princess Eat Spagetti with a Spatula?

Alright, I know I already did a post about our "Silly dinners" but this one has to be put on our blog because it totally takes the cake! For those of you who would never have believed that Gene would dress up like a princess, here you go! I think the pictures speak louder than any words I could add! Enjoy! ha ha!

Is it me, or does Gene look like he's enjoying this a bit too much?!

I think Lani and Kiara dressed their Dad up rather well, don't you? Check out the lipstick and what is that- cleaveage? Ha ha!

Talk about a way fun night at our house! Hmm, does it seem like we don't have much to do here in Cedar City? :)
